There's a cute guy in one of my classes and naturally, he has a girlfriend. Totally figures huh?
I was with Isabelle and Rin and we were talking about cute guys.
Rin: There's a 50-50 chance of that happenning.
Isabelle: It was more like 20-80.
Rin: That's kinda mean.
Me: No. She's right. Actually it's more 20-30-50. 20% chance he's single, 30% that he's gay, and 50% that he's got a girlfriend.
GRRRRR!!!!!! Why does it have to be so bloody difficult to find a cute guy? Really?

Bigotry
Last night I was watching CSI: New York. It was the episode where a Nazi soldier was found after he sold a brooch that he stole from a Jewish woman that trusted him to get her and her family across the border but instead he delivered her to Auschwitz. I cried. It didn’t matter that the story was fake; for another family it was probably true.
When I was 14, I went to Germany with my grandmother, my cousin, and some other students. We went to Dachau. I stayed within the walls for maybe five minutes before I wanted to run as far away as I could and purify myself. I had to settle for the bus. It doesn’t matter how they cleanse that place it is tainted. It is as close to hell as I hope ever to be.
Once again, I sit and wonder. How do people do that to one another? How can people kill and torture another human that bleeds like them, that cries like them, and feels pain just like they do? How do they honestly believe that their victims are no more than animals?
Ignorance breeds prejudice and fear. One day I’ll be a history teacher and I want to be able to try and stop the hate but for now, I’ll light a candle for those that didn’t deserve to die be it to intolerance of religion, nationality, race, or just because someone didn’t like them.
Carlos Santana said “Those that do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” So remember the past and try to make the future a better one.

New Years
Okay, these are the things I have learned this year and no they're not in chronological order.
1. Diets suck. I am a total junk food junkie and have managed to resist my beloved sweets for the most part and walking off a lot of it. And despite all this I've only managed to drop three pounds.
2. Never take math as a night course.
3. Don't take friends for granted. Many of them are only temporary so enjoy them while you can.
4. Men will always be morons. It's like a terminal disease that they suffer.
5. Scratch four. Everyone will be moronic at random points of their lives. Men seem to be a bit more often though.
6. Every so often it's good to indulge the parentals. Just make sure they remember that when they become old and decrepit you'll be picking their retirement homes.
7. This is gonna sound kinda hypocritical but kiss that boy. Even if you don't want anything more it's nice to take that off the list of regrets. Admittedly...I probably will never do that to Orion but I will to the next guy.
8. Growing old is required but growing up is optional.

Morons...
There is something about the way the world works that leaves the bystanders staring on, dumbstruck by the ignorance and the stupidity of the humans around us. There have been days where someone has made such a remarkably ignorant statement that I have been struck dumb by it, making them think they have one the argument. I have wondered many times are we descended from monkeys…or are monkeys descended from us? There are definitely people that are more monkey-like than human.

Truth or Lie
The truth in itself is a lie. Even when you ask "tell me the truth" what you really want is a pretty lie. When a girl asks "do these pants make my look fat?" she wants you to lie though she'll probably be glad for the truth later.
On any given day I have to lie at least ten times. Some times with an "I'm fine" or "Nope, everything is good" and sometimes its just with a smile. I'm either the greatest liar...or the greatest actress. The mask I wear changes like I change underwear. Sometimes I'm the dutiful daughter and sometimes I'm the slightly rebellious teenage girl and sometimes, when no one that's family is around, I'm me.
I've always hated posers and fakes but I have to be one in my family because my family is the lie. None of them want the truth because it is so much easier to believe the lie.

Annoyed Wanting (Mysteries of Men Part 1)
I say 'part 1' because it'll take more than one part to try and understand the male mind. I don't think men--understand--the male mind. They tease and mock us for being irrational and emotional but they're just as irrational and instead of wanting to talk about their emotions, they're apathetic. Yes, we're emotional but that's only because someone has to be willing to put themselves out there for anything to happen. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Men and women are NOT the same species!
Okay, Orion is beautiful but in an abstract mental way instead of physical. AND COMPLETELY, HORRIBLY, ANNOYINGLY IMPOSSIBLE!!!! I want to know what he's thinking. I want to know why he can't, quite simply, tell me the truth. And most importantly I want to know why he can't admit his feelings to himself. Even other people have noticed that there is something there so why in every gods name can't HE admit it?
I hope that the day he realizes the truth isn't too late. That I've moved on to the point that all my dreams were for naught. And if it does come to that. . .I'll curse him to oblivion. And I'll do it with a smile.
Sincerely,
Annoyed Wanting

Bleh
Everything feels bleh. I have a cold and I can't breathe out my nose, though I can smell incense, at least to an extent. Brutus is sound asleep on his bed next to me. I'm kinda envious, kinda not.
Why does cold medicine have to taste so god awful? I mean really. The medicine I mean is Zicam. It works fabulously but it tastes soooooo bad. It'll make me better faster but it makes me so nauseous in the process.
My family, probably like many others, always says medicine tastes bad to make the mind heal faster. Again I say bleh!
